Looks like someone finally was able to crack the security of CheckFree.com and they had to admit it. What does that mean? Most people will agree unofficially that cyber attacks happen daily. Some companies more than others. What they won’t admit is the frequency, threat level or the particulars….. until they get hacked. Once a site or a server or a database is hacked, all bets are off. The air is out of the balloon!
So checkfree has had to alert their customers and the users of those customers that their data and passwords might have been stolen! Good news is that hole was closed overnight before most traffic hit the web server.
