BoingBoing rounds up the rumors (and points to facts) regarding in-flight wireless Internet. What we know is that American and Virgin airlines are getting it first, and that a company called Gogo is behind both efforts. Trans-continental flights between New York and Los Angeles are already testing the technology as of last week. Pricing is said to be on a per-flight basis, in the neighborhood of $10-20. Certain high-bandwidth applications will be disallowed or throttled, of course.
