Back on the 19th, another object impacted with Jupiter. A few days ago, NASA got some pictures of the impact site using Hubble.
Wow. Big asteroid. It made a crater the size of the pacific ocean. The object itself was probably less than a hundred meters in radius. But, it was going very fast.
It has been long theorized that life on this planet is possible, in part, due to Jupiter acting as a big “vacuum cleaner”. It sucks away the dangerous debri has zooms into our solar system from time to time. Thanks, dude.
